Variety Summary
This is a monster doubled die that is extremely rare in BU. A find like this can make your year. This variety is easy to identify even in low grade because of the dramatic doubling found on AMERICA. This is a great example of a Class V doubled die, the pivot point is at about 9 o’clock.

Obverse
Class V, Pivot Hub Doubling CCW.
Doubling shows as a dramatic CCW spread on AMERICA and OF. Nice doubling also seen on ERTY of LIBERTY, UNI of UNITED, ATES of STATES, the initial L, and some of the feathers.
Die crack through the bottom of the digits in the date.
Reverse
Die crack from the rim at 9 o'clock through the wreath to 11 o'clock. Die crack from the rim at 8 o'clock to the wreath. Die crack from the rim at 4 o'clock through the wreath to 3 o'clock. Die crack from the rim at 1 o'clock down to the wreath.
