With only 1 digit in the necklace, this variety is not quite as impressive as the 1882 MPD-003. However, more of the base and upright can be seen in the 1883 MPD-003 specimen. The digit blends into the portrait in grades of XF and under, making it especially difficult to locate.
Misplaced Date
The base and a portion of the upright of a 1 is seen between the 3rd and 4th pearls. What appears to be the bottom of an 8 is in the field between the neck truncation and the ribbon.
