Variety Summary

These are some of the most bizarre misplaced dates in the entire US coin series. The obverse die cracks throughout, so it may have been shortlived. This die variety is a real challenge to locate. The date was punched into the denticles and untold number of times. A lot of great varieties occurred in Barber’s first year – did he bring in new staff?
