Variety Summary
1868 has some very interesting doubled dies, misplaced dates, repunched dates in many different series. Its worth while to search all coins of this date. This variety has been known for a few years and can still be found in dealer’s cases.

Obverse
Class V, Pivot Hub Doubling.
Doubling shows as a eastward spread on ERTY of LIBERTY, ear, hair, the initial L, ribbon, and some of the feathers.
Reverse
Die clashing seen between ONE CENT and the left side wreath. Die scratch from the O of ONE to the wreath.
