Variety Summary

This variety hosts a fantastic broken collar. It is the first broken collar to ever be attributed in the Indian Head Cent series. When the collar break is present, the coin is not perfectly round as it should be and shows displacement at the points of breakage. Further, there are some odd flow lines in the denticles and on some of the devices that make me feel that the planchet was kind of ‘smushed out’ further than the design on the die, causing odd flow or stress lines.
