This die failure was most likely aided by heavy clashing between the date area and the shield. Clashed bars from the shield can be seen protruding from under Liberty’s bust and into the date. This variety is very similar to 1864 L CRK-002, and shares its reverse die.
Bisecting die crack from 6 in the date, through Liberty at 12:00. Very similar to 1864 L CRK-002
Same reverse as 1864 L CRK-002, but an earlier die state. Die crack at 7:00 running west across the wreath.
