Variety Summary

With such a high demand for coinage for the 1857 Flying Eagle cents, its no wonder that we see so many doubled dies, but why are there not more repunched dates?

Class I, Rotated Hub Doubling CW.
Doubling shows as a CW spread on the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, eagle’s eye, beak, feathers on the neck, wing, and leg, and the tail feathers.

Damaged wing tip. Die scratch off of the northwest corner of the first A of AMERICA.
